The artist has donated the entirety of his twenty-five thousand pound award prize money to the MVT, which operates to save the UK's independent live music spots.
Fender was given the prize on mid-October as his new release the album was declared the top album of the past year.
The musician has chosen to give the cash to the MVT, in acknowledgment of the vital role local spots played in his initial steps.
"I personally couldn't be pursuing this success if it hadn't been for all the gigs I performed around the region, and beyond, when I was beginning," said Fender. "These spaces are legendary, but they are facing challenges."
Beginning in 2023, at least 150 of these locations have ceased operations – approximately one-sixth of the entire UK sector.
Recently, major artists like Pulp, the group Coldplay, the singer Katy Perry and Ed Sheeran have all aided the MVT in its efforts to keep the scene afloat, by applying a small levy to their ticket costs, which goes to help local stages.
He also participated, raising more than £100,000 on his 2024 arena tour to help 38 grassroots venues across England, Scotland, and Wales.
These funds supported locations that were dealing with potential shutdown due to issues stemming from floods, blazes and personal losses, as well as permit problems, court cases and noise complaints.
Other venues received funding support in modernizing amenities and gear that helped musicians and audiences.
"The concept that revenue from performances in major spaces helps the independent spots, where it begins for artists like me, is just common sense," Fender has stated.
Fender is among several artists to donate his award prize money to good deeds.
When they earned the prize in 1996 for their album their work, frontman the singer stated that the band would give their cash to the charity War Child.
In 2002, artist the artist split her prize between multiple charities, including the NSPCC and a Sickle Cell organization.
"I also contributed a grand to my local community centre, to their gymnastics program, because I trained in gymnastics when I was younger and they needed better apparatus," the artist explained to a publication.
In recent years, the band donated their prize money to the youth organization that nurtured their group, alongside other independent music bodies.
Additionally 1994 winners M People gave their award to a MS organization after a friend was found to have the disease.
"The victory was ample," said singer Small. "The money was the cherry on top but we didn't need the extra, because we had the main prize. So our winning affected another person's life."
Last week, the trust revealed it had saved a couple of local spots in south-east England, by transferring them to public stewardship.
The first in that area and the other in the city were acquired under the public acquisition program, which is supported by a national body and enthusiasts who purchase "shares" in the buildings.
