Cars in Germany's Town Found Marked with Swastikas in Blood, Law Enforcement State

Police mentioned they were alerted by a resident who found a car in Hanau smeared with reddish substance

Roughly fifty vehicles have been marked with what appears to be human blood in the German city of Hanau near Frankfurt, as reported by law enforcement.

Automobiles, exterior walls and mailboxes were defaced, in some cases with prohibited symbols, they announced in a official communication.

Law enforcement say they were alerted late on Wednesday, when a man discovered that a automobile in the Lamboy district of Hanau had been smeared with a red-colored fluid.

The liquid had been placed in the pattern of a swastika, they reported.

Police then found multiple other smeared vehicles and house walls in the adjacent neighborhood.

Nazi symbols are prohibited in Germany under laws outlawing the public exhibition of symbols from the Nazi era.

Law enforcement report initial examinations show the liquid was likely human bodily fluid.

"There is still no indication as to its origin; investigators are currently not informed of any harm in connection with the event," they added.

Local authorities announced they were attempting "to resolve the case" and have requested to the public for tips.

A high-ranking official commented the attack left him stunned and needed to be solved rapidly.

"This event strikes at the core of Hanau and reopens the wounds of the right-wing violent incident five years ago," he stated on a platform, mentioning the murder of nine victims by a assailant targeting individuals of immigrant origin in 2020.
